Strategic Support

Strategic Support is a program designed to help all students become successful. Three times per week after 4th period, students are enrolled in a section which is matched to their academic needs: Academic Preparation, Tutorial or Link Crew. Strategic Support functions differently each quarter, so every student should be prepared to move and adjust their role:

Academic Prep: The Academic Prep period is where students with no Ds or Fs work independently and silently on the assignments of their choice.

Tutorial: The Tutorial period is where students with one or more D or F work with mentors and teachers on specific assignments. Non D or F students can be referred to Tutorial by a teacher or by a parent for additional help in any subject.

Link Crew: Link Crew helps integrate Freshman into Northgate through positive relationships and the creation of a more inclusive culture for all at Northgate.
